Location scouting

Given that it's my birthday on Friday, I'm thinking of having drinks or something similar that night, or close to it. More details will be posted here.

Can anybody recommend a good pub in inner/inner-north London for that sort of thing? I.e., one with good atmosphere, not too small/crowded/loud, reasonably unextortionate prices and ideally Leffe on tap.
