I'm Wayne Kerr and if there's one thing I hate... it's Horde Webmail.

It works well enough on a reliable connection, but the wireless in this café is currently not a reliable connection; it keeps going up and down, either because of (a) too many people using the access point, (b) the access point being flaky, (c) WiFi being inherently shite, or (d) all of the above. Which means that, at any time, a HTTP request to a web server may fail to connect.

And if you're sending an email from Horde, or uploading an attachment, its Javascript thoughtfully disables the buttons before sending the form to the server. If it fails to connect to the server, of course, the buttons never get reenabled, and you're left with having to start your email anew. After a few times, this becomes incredibly frustrating.

So I went to Highbury & Islington last night to go to How Does It Feel To Be Loved, only to discover that it wasn't on, and in its stead, the Buffalo Bar had something called Club Beer (subtitled "music that sounds good when you're drunk"). Which sounded rather naff, so I went home.
