Mar. 26th, 2004 05:18 pmI just picked up Electrelane's The Power Out. It's not as angular and post-punk as I thought it would be (I imagined it'd be somewhere between Interpol and Sleater-Kinney or something), but somewhat gentler and a shade more ethereal. So far, I particularly like Love Builds Up, a rather good instrumental, and Only One Thing Is Needed. Meanwhile, The Valleys, with its choirs, is interesting, in a post-Polyphonic Spree sort of way.
Meanwhile, the Franz Ferdinand album is growing on me. It's probably going to end up in my "albums of 2004" list in some 9 months' time.
