I stopped by at Rough Trade today and picked up Remington Super 60's Happy As We Were. It has a few good tracks, but is a bit overly twee in places, with Prozac-happy, thoroughly unironic songs about being happy and in love in the most one-dimensional way. I also picked up a copy of a rather nifty-looking zine named Chunklet, about which I'll probably write more in my blog.
Meanwhile, in the mail arrived a copy of Momus' Otto Spooky. So far, 5 tracks in, it sounds pretty good; fairly intricate and yet listenable (more so than his track on the Human League tribute compilation from a few years ago). I imagine it'll take quite a few listens to digest.
